"Recd from Messrs Wadsworth & Carter two keggs ...said to contain six thousand hard dollars each - and one kegg said to contain five thousand French Crowns which casks of money I have received to deliver to Colo. Jeremiah Wadsworth or his order; recd by the hand of Captain Samuel Westcoat."

Flint was Assistant Commissary of Purchases, appointed by the governor and council of the state of Connecticut; Jeremiah Wadsworth was the Commissary-General of Purchases.
