The contents of the calendar selected or adapted from "Hutchin's improved : being an almanack and ephemeris ... for the year of our Lord 1782."
American loyalist almanac, contains lists of the British officials in America, former royal governors, British & Hessian army officers & American loyalist officers; also detailed listing of the British order of battle in North America.
"America ... the colonies and provinces of Great-Britain, forming what may be truly call'd, the British empire in America": p. 92-102.
Some pages interleaved with blank leaves.
Red morocco wallet binding with engraved silver locking clasp.
Interleaved with 19th century ms. notes: extensive genealogical & historical records of the Rev. James Francis Armstrong & descendants, including records of births, marriages, deaths for several later generations of Armstrong's family, ending in 1882 & records of slaves and diseases, etc.; Armstrong served as brigade chaplain in the Maryland Line and was an original member of MD Society, later transferred to NJ Society.
Additional ms. notes in pockets of binding removed & stored in case file.
