Mifflin was an original member of the Pennsylvania Society of the Cincinnati.
A Major James Moore was also a member of the Society; if, in fact, the above mentioned James Moore, member of the Pennsylvania Assembly, is the same person, his Assembly service is not mentioned In J. Kilbourne. Virtutis Praemium, vol 1., pp. 674-681.
