Enclosed is an order ... that you pay to Colo. Joshua Davis the sum of one thousand pounds ... to enable him to enact & complete the barracls at Rutland for the reception of the troops of the Convention ...."
One Joshua Davis, probably this one, was barracks master at Boston in 1780. -- DAR Lineage Book, 1898. He may have served in the militia rather than in the Continental Army.

Heath was an original member of the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati.
