Requests an invitation for Major [] Rawlins Lowndes, an "aid of General Gain[e]s', who ... has always had an invitation when the general was here." The requested invitation was to the annual Society of the Cincinnati dinner, schedule for July 5, 1830.
Lewis was the president of the New York Society of the Cincinnati at the time: Graham was the secretary.
Major Lowndes was a neighbor of Lewis" in Staatsburg; Gaines was an officer during the War of 1812.
