"I have constantly for several years flattered myself with the belief, that I should have the satisfaction and delight of seeing you make a conspicuous figure in society - parents are much more abt to overrate the worth of their children, especially their favorites, than to held them in too low estimation...."
"No subject is whatever is so interesting to my heart as the prosperity & respectability of my children ...."
