Accompanied by rule book: "Rules and directions for playing the Historical pastime of England," London, 1804.
Board game, cut and backed with linen in 12 sections, mounted on canvas; composed of 158 circles, including 157, "War in America" & 158, an oval portrait of King George III.
Specifically devised for young children to learn the history of England by a roll of the dice; each landing might require a penalty, bonus or a recitation; running clockwise until the center (portrait of King George III) is reached.
In slipcase as issued.
