At head of p. [1]]: Frederick County to [illegible]
On p. [2]:R. Nelson for the plaintiff; and: Pledges to prosecute & so forth: Jno. Doe & Rich.d Roe"
Apparently incomplete; the first line on p. [1] reads: And wherefrom the said Andrew by Roger Nelson his attorney complains that where[as?] the aforesaid George ... on the [blank] day of seventeen hundred and [blank] at Frederick County aforesaid was indebted unto him the said Andrew in the sum of eighteen pounds three shillings and six pence ...."
Other similar debts owed by "the said George" to the "said Andrew" are chronicled. Andrew [Kiddick?] was represented by attorney Roger Nelson.
A William Ritchie was clerk of the Frederick Co. court during the latter part of the 18th century.
Roger Nelson was an original member of the Maryland Society of the Cincinnati.
