Note
"William Dunwell soldier in the 7th Regt. having served with reputation the time for which he inslisted, is hereby discharged the army of the United Sates of America."
On verso: These certifys that William Donwell [sic] has turned in his armes accuterments and amonition [sic] [signed] James Bennet Ensn.
Also included is a partially printed receipt dated March 11, 1784, for payment to Dunwell of two pounds fifteen shillings and one penny, signed by Dunwell
Starr and Bennet were original members of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati.
