"Pay Mr. Josiah Southward seven pound sixteen shilling & five pence ... for victualling & other necessaries supplied Capts. Chambers, Morgan, Stephenson, & Price their companies of riflemen .... to a camp near Boston", probably reflectng equipment and supplies needed during the siege of Boston.
James Chambers, a captain of Thompson's Pennsylvania Rifle Regiment, was an original member of the Pennsylvania Society of the Cincinnati; Daniel Morgan, captain of a Virginia Regiment of riflemen, was an original member of the Virginia Society; Thomas Price, captain of a Maryland regiment of riflemen and was an original member of the Maryland Society.
