General Clinton writes regarding appointments for two officers, Ebenezer Mott and Solomon Pendleton, who had been captured at Fort Montgomery in 1777 and were hoping to be readmitted to the New York line. He notes that "at present, there are not vacancies in either of the state regts." Heitman notes that neither man returned to the Continental Army.
