Note
Original logbook of the French royal navy frigate Flore, which was part of the squadron under the command of the chevalier de Fabry.
Lists the numbers of officers and crew by category; lists of ships under the command of Admiral d'Estaing and Fabry that departed from the port at Toulon in April and in July 1778 heading for America.
Castellane Majestre got as far as Gibraltar, when, d'Estaing ordered him to transport sick sailors from the fleet back to France. He spent the rest of his command on the Flore patrolling the Mediterranean.
