An order allowing Ichabod Squire, "having lately deserted from the enemy at Rhode Island" to pass en route to Albany County, New York. "…he was deluded by his father, to go with him and two of his brothers to the enemy, but that he is a friend to his country, and for this reason, made his escape as soon as he could effect it with safety to himself."
