A follow up letter relating to Read’s interest in obtaining information relating to claims for government compensation by sailors wounded while serving on the 'Bon Homme Richard' during her engagement with the Serapis.
Jones had referred Read to his official report, and Read replies in this letter that the official document relating to the case had been "sealed up some time ago."
