Dering was a cornet of the 16th Light Dragoons & student at Lewis Lochée's Military Academy in England; become the first commander of the New Romney fencible cavalry and later served in Parliament.
Bound in marbled paper boards; spine divided in 6 compartments by raised bands with red morocco lettering.
