V. 2 is a catalog of 481 American paintings in the collections of Harvard University, which includes works from the Harvard Art Museum's Fogg, Busch-Reisinger, and Arthur M. Sackler museums, the Harvard University Portrait Collection, Harvard's Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Memorial Hall, the Radcliffe Institute, and Widener Library.
V. 1 includes paintings of Gilbert Stuart, John Trumbull & Peale family, including portraits of SOC members.
