Regulations relating to the Austrian imperial army cavalry by Moritz Count von Lacy (Austrian field marshal who served under the Empress Maria Theresa and her successors, and who reorganised the Austrian army). The codes of laws issued in the name of Maria Theresa & endorsed by Lacy at end, covering training and conduct for all ranks and all personnel of the cavalry.
Also includes numerous tables and a plan for a model encampment for a cavalry regiment & 6 pages of musical notation for the trumpet for marches, reveille, orders of attack and funeral processions.
Bound in mottled sheep; richly gilt spine divided in 6 compartments by raised bands with morocco label.
