"Agreeable to my last to Coll. Malcom [sic] I set out for camp this day three weeks late, have been prevented from prosecuting my journey."
"I have taken several deserters."
I "am now at a house within about 14 miles of you hope to be with you tomorrow."
During the winter of 1777-1778, Burr was with his troops at Valley Forge.
Kearsley was one of 10 captains in Malcolm's Additional Continental Regiment -- see R.K. Wright. The Continental Army, p. 323.
Burr was an original member of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati.
