"The state of Connecticut doth owe unto Mr. Silas Covil who hath served in the Connecticut Line of the Continental Army, the sum of ten pounds,three shillings and seven pence being the balance found due to him." Covil is not listed in either Metcalf or Heitman; his regiment is therefore unknown. "...which sum shall be paid to him ... on or before the first day of June ... one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven with lawful interest thereof ...."
