Concerns a "Resolution of Congress of the 29th of October A.D. 1781 with the golden medal therein directed to be presented Major Gen Greene."
"This day [I] delivered the medal to Mrs. Greene[;] she directed me to present her most respectfull compliments to your Excellency ...."
Greene was an original member of the Rhode Island Society of the Cincinnati; St. Clair, of the Pennsylvania Society.

Watermark: Crowned shield with post horn and GR below, similar to Gravell. Foreign watermarks, no. 101, but chain line are differently located.
