The board commends the governor for the recruitment effort made by New York: "… [we] were glad to find… that the Assembly had so readily agreed to the proposition made by you to Lord Loudoun of retaining such a number of troops voted by them for the service of last year, as might be sufficient to form two companies of rangers, which, we hope, will be employed by his lordship to advantage during the winter."
Also concerns the boundary dispute between New York and Massachusetts.
