Darby was a lieutenant under Admiral Robert Digby, the commander of the British warship Ramillies.
Includes a tabulated chart of the dimensions of masts, yards, sails, anchors & cables of Ramillies; records the ship's participation at the Battle of Ushant on July 27, 1778, with a list of causalities and line of battle.
Reverse of book was reused: "A list of His Majesty's Royal Navy from the Navy Office corrected June 1773" ([13] p.)
