At bottom: The commissaries on the road will furnish sd. Timothy with rations of provision to carry him to New Hampshire ... [signed] Jh Cogswell Mass[achusetts Militia?] -- final word torn away.
On verso: Issued three days rations / Dec. 27 80 J. White A[sst.] C[ommissar]y ; Dec. 30, issued three days rations / for Moses Chunk ACS / J. Williston; Jany 2 1780 issued with three days rations / Wm Dawes ACsy [ms - i.e., military stores?]
