Thanks Fisk for sending a copy of the National Intelligencer: "As you are immediately connected with the administration of our national affairs ... you must feel gratified, with the course our Government has pursued, in the late correspondence."
"It is with pleasure, I also assure you, that Mr. Madison has established himself in the confidence of candid Federalists."
Fisk was a member of the 11th Congress from March, 1809 to 1811 and again from 1813-1815.
The Intelligencer supported the Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe administrations.
Hamilton, the son of original member Alexander Hamilton, was a successor member of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati.
