Note
Writing from the forfeited estate of loyalist Beverley Robinson across the river from West Point, which was used as army hospital, Dr. Eustis tells General Greene that he is unable to get the "Cochrean Pills" he requested and he recommends a substitute; "Cochrean Pills" may refer to pill used by Dr. John Cochrane, chief physician and surgeon to the Continental Army.
