Photograph of the French Society and invited American delegation to the 1931 meeting of the Societe des Cincinnati de France
In January 1931 The French Society invited the the General Society to attend its June meeting and a resolution was passed by the Standing Committee in Febraury for each society to send two delegates. Two constituent societies sent no delegates (MA, MD), while others (NH, CT, NC) sent more than two delegates.
A description of the events and delegation is included in the 1932 Triennial Proceedings, pages 9-10.
The front the photograph identifies the following seated in the front row: Julian Mayo Cabell (Va.), Howard Sawyer Harrington (Conn.), Robert C. Morris (Conn.), Peyton J. Van Rennselaer (NY), Brig. Gen. William E. Horton (NH), Perry Belmont (R.I.), Edwin J. Sellers (Del.), le Duc de Broglie (Fr.), and John W. Grant (NC).
Photograph in good condition, but on original board with missing section and tearing.
