According to the 1926 Directory of the Society of the Cincinnati, Isham was living in Brielle, N.J. at the time of this letter.
"I have been confidently anticipating the great pleasure of being at the Cincinnati dinner, but I am subject to limitations which are the difficulties of the 90's I deeply regret I cannot be with you ...."
Lincoln Isham was Secretary of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati in 1925; Depew was also a member of that Society.
