Treasury note to Richard Damry [ i.e., Damaray?] promising to pay nine pounds, 6 shillings, being "one fourth of the balance found due to him, which shall be paid ... on or before the first day of June ... 1788 ... with lawful interest thereof, which interest shall be paid annually....
Manuscript annotations on verso show interest paid annually between 1783 and 1789 signed by Wm. Lawrence and R. Butler.
Top and bottom borders read: For the payment of the Connecticut Line. A Richard Damaray served in Granger's Co. of the 2nd Connecticut Regiment; a Richard Demery, in Captain Parsons' Company, 3rd Connecticut, possibly the same man.
