Ms. inscription on front free endpaper: "The gift of Lieut. B. Bradley, Victory, 1794 to Lieut. Pipon"; the book was given to Bradleys successor Lieut. Pipon. In 1794 the Victory (best known as Lord Nelsons flagship at Trafalgar) was part of Admiral Hoods fleet off Toulon.
