The William Chapman who signs at foot of p. [2] of the ledger sheet is probably H. H. Chapman's brother.
On p. [2]: affadavit dated Jan. 27, 1794 and signed Henry Barnes, Justice of the Peace for Charles County, Maryland that "the several accounts contained in this book are just and true ...."
Also on p. [2], a similar affadavit dated Jan. 27, 1795; illegible signature of a different Justice of the Peace.
Apparently extracted from a ledger book.
Among the goods and services are crib and bed quilts, shingles, beef, tallow, chickens, tobacco, and oysters.
Henry Henley Chapman was on original member of the Maryland Society of the Cincinnati.
