Judgment by John Mix, Justice of the Peace for Hartford County, that Amos Hinman of Farmington must pay Elijah Cowles $5.01, or else be imprisoned in Hartford until the debt is paid.
Two manuscript notes on reverse recording payment of the debt signed by "P. Strong Dpy Shff" [Deputy Sheriff] and Elijah Cowles. Two dollars received on March 26, 1821 and the balance on August 9, 1821.
