Much text is illegible, but apparently concerns a debt: "I am sorry to find by your [letter?] that [illegible] my letter. It was by no means intended to prevail on you to deviate in the least from your [illegible]; but on the contrary, to forward the payment of the money to him, which would certainly have been the case, as far as a hundred and fifty pounds will go; as the [illegible] Pleasants are men of [ind.t?] and will pay it before it can be obtaind from my poor deranged finances, and it would have eased me of some part of the burthen.
