Wishes that Berthier convey to the "premier consul" [Napoleon] his desire to resign or retire.
Stamped in red at bottom: Secret.at Part.[eu?] Also at bottom, a note by signed by Berthier.
Watermark: Henry [O? D?] C, below a partial circular design. Apparently not in Gravell.
