In an unidentified hand, possibly that of a secretary of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati. Bernardus Swartwout and John Stagg were secretaries of that society in 1800.
On verso in another hand: Cincinnati Society / Toasts given 4 July 1800.
Offers 16 toasts, among them to President John Adams, Vice President Thomas Jefferson , Timothy Pickering (late Secretary of State),Major General Hamilton, General Wilkinson, Commodore Truxton, John Jay, Stephen Van Rensselaer, and the memory "of our departed father and friend the late George Washington."
Several of the subjects of the toasts were original members of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati.
