Watercolor drawings of military maneuvers based on the manuals of Major William Young of the 62nd (Wiltshire) Regiment; the regiment fought & surrendered at the Battle of Saratoga in 1777 & most regiment remained as captives in America until 1781.
Can be dated to 1782 when the 62nd Regiment of Foot renamed the Wiltshire Regiment.
Leaf "Front": drawing of the regiment drawn up in battle order.
Bound in reversed calf; brown morocco label on rebacked spine.
