Baltimore Wednesday 4 o'clock June 9, 1779 ..." reports that James White of Philadelphia had just arrived from Edenton, N.C. with "Agreeable intelligence of the defeat of the British army from Georgia before Charlestown South Carolina ..."; mentions Generals moultrie, Lincoln, Williams & Pulaski; docketed on verso: "Baltimore June 9, 1779. Raising of the siege of Charleston, S.C. by the British 19 May 1779"; "Charles Town Affair."
[No. 2]: "Camp Monday 11 o'clock June 21, 1779 ..." contains further discussion of the situation in Charleston & expresses doubts about the accuracy of the reports from South Carolina; docketed "Acct of the Clarles Town Affair"; "June 21, 1779. Extract of a letter of Owen Biddle to Colonel Biddle, relative to Siege of Charleston S.C."; stamped at bottom "Schuyler Papers."
