[Rufus] Lincoln, who was then a prisoner of war and absent as was Ensign Andrew Garrett; Capt. [Jonas] Parker; Capt. Eliphalet] Thorp; Capt. Benjamin Warren; Capt. White.
Haskell and Brooks were both original members of the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati, as were Joseph Bates, Andrew Garrett, and Rufus Lincoln, whose names appear among officers named.
