The Jonas Brick "of Medway" listed in Massachusetts soldiers and sailors in the war of the Revolution makes no mention of his service in 1776.
Joseph Lovell, Who signed the March 28 document, was a captain in the Massachusetts Militia.
Whitcomb's regiment was "authorized 23 April 1775 in the Massachusetts State Troops", but on 14 June 1775 was adopted into the Continental Army. -- R. K. Wright. The Continental Army, p. 223. In 1776, he was a Col. in the 6th Continental Infantry.
