On verso: His Excely Jonat[h]an Trumbull. Trumbull Sr. was the governor of Connecticut and his son Jonathan was the Continental Army's Paymaster General at this time. The son was an original member of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati. It is likely that it is the father whose name appears on the document.

Provisions include beeef and pork packed in barrels, salt,128 barrels, nails, and coopering as well as charges for transporting the provisions and for "victualling workmen" who were weighing the goods, keeping the accounts, etc.
