Seven columns on each side of the fold listing 42 names with rank (1 captain, 2 lieutenants, 2 sergeants, 1 drummer, 1 fifer, and the rest privates), their time of enlistment, length of service, pay per month, subsistance money, and totals.
Total amount paid: 338 pounds, 17 shillings, 9 pence.
Context: These officers and men were apparently "commssioned to command the guards raised to do Duty under Maj. Gen. Gates and Maj. Gen. Heath at and about Boston.... [and later] at Dorchester Heights." -- Massachusetts soldiers and sailors of the Revolutionary War ... (Boston, 1897), III, p. 489 under Lemuel Clap (the first of that name).
