Thomas Mifflin & Nathanael Greene; accounts run from Jan. -Aug. 1777, Aug. 1778-Apr. 1780 & sporadic entries through June 1785; also includes several pages of monies received by Abeel on behalf of the army; [1] p. receipt inserted (removed & stored separately: call no. MSS L2011F31.2): dated July 1777, notes a purchase for the storing, grinding & carting of grain & wheat.
Shows dates, voucher nmuber, "To whom paid and For what" & "Sums paid"; includes records of payments for bounties for the capture of deserters, upkeep of prisoners of war, keeping horses and cattle, making knapsacks, purchasing food, firewood, and various supplies.
Bound in three quarter leather & brown paper boards.
