On verso: Sworn before me this 11day of July 1781 J. Huntington B.Genl.
Huntington was in camp at Dobbs Ferry in Aug. of 1781 -- see The Huntington Papers IN Collections of the Connecticut Historical Society, Vol. XX, p. 447;
Lists 3 officers: Edward Eells, Capt., John Jenkins, Lieut., and James Hyde, ensign, on command at West Point
Lists also serjantes, privates,and corporals by name and location, many of whom were "on command West Point" and some at Stony Point.
On verso: Proof of the effectives and sworn by E. Eells Capt. in front of J. Huntington, B. Genl.
Edward Eells, David Smith, and Jedediah Huntington were original members of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati.
Document is folded and torn in half at one fold.
