Published numerous times in 1803-1837 & each edition updated to extend to game to the current monarch, including William IV & Victoria.
The board consists of engraved, illustrated, hand colored sheet mounted in 12 sections on a single folded sheet of linen; 157 circular medallions represent characters & events in English history, from William I to George III & from the Battle of Hastings to the "War with America"; medallion no. 158 in the center, is an oval portrait of King George III.
Specifically devised for young children to learn the history of England by a roll of the dice; each landing might require a penalty, bonus or a recitation; running clockwise until the center (portrait of King George III) is reached.
Accompanied by a booklet (47 p.); library lacks this booklet
