Satirical print showing the Earl of Bute and his rumored mistress, the Princess of Wales (George III's mother), dragging a cart carrying the British Lion (representing George III) who is wearing an upturned boot on his head. William Pitt is leaning over a balcony above trying to remove the boot from the king’s head. In the background, in "The Old British Ware House" are bales labeled "Pondicherry," "Martinico," "Guadeloupe," "Louisbourg," and "Quebec" which are the names of places captured from the French during the war.
