Note
Da Zara presents the compliments of the Prince of Udine for the flowers that the Anderson sent him.
Da Zara served as aide-de-camp to Ferdinando, the Prince of Udine, during his May 1917 trip to the United States as the head of the Italian War Commission sent to make trade and financial arrangements with the US during World War I. It is presumed that the letter dates from this period and that the flowers sent by the Andersons were probably to welcome to the Prince. The Prince arrived in Washington on May 23, 1917.
