Note
Two versions of the same oration, apparently intended for delivery on July 4, 1824. The anonymous writer refers to a transcript "of that immortal document which has proved the basis of the most excellent faultless government on Earth", 48 years after "the representatives of thirteen British colonies in America firm, determined, fearless, assembled and for reasons most just solemnly declared to the world that the colonies they represented were "Free sovreign [sic] & Independent."
