"Recd from Major Enfant [sic] Nine Eagles ... for M. Genl. Huntington, Lt. Col Huntington, Cap. Heart, Cap. Rogers, Cap. Clift, Major Clift, Major Wyllys, B. Gen Swift & Rec.d J. Willis [sic] ... to be delivered to them ...."
On verso: signatures of Eben. Huntington, who also acknowledges receipt of an eagle for Gen. Huntington; Jon. Heart, Saml Wyllys, Heman Swift, W. Clift, and Lem. Clift, all members of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati, of which Trumbull was the Secretary until 1793.
