Note
Anderson discusses various family and business matters. A primary concern is the conflict over land between "auld Aude" and the Ellisons, in which both he and Latham have been involved. Anderson also mentions that he hopes to be married in one or two months.
In a postscript Anderson writes: "We are in daily expectation of Gen. LaFayette's arrival." As well he comments on Andrew Jackson's political career saying, "My horse Jackson has been dying ever since his namesake lost his chance for the Presidency."
