Note
Scots noblewoman's responses to the American conflict; including her accounts of churches visited and sermons attended; her record of family business, births and deaths; her commentary on the situation in America and her concerns for her son, William Leslie, who later was killed in the Battle of Princeton in 1777. Through the influence of Dr. Benjamin Rush, a family friend, Leslie was buried with full military honors in Pluckemin cemetery in New Jersey.
