View of the house from the side with the well enclosure in the foreground. A rider on horseback is being greeted at the front door. Two figures are seen walking on the front path in the background. The artist's initials, JF appear at the edge of the path in the lower right on the engraving. The title has been handwritten by the artist in pencil in the margin below the engraving to the left of an engraved likeness of the eagle of the Society of the Cincinnati. The artist's signature in pencil is to the right of the title.
